Three years ago I decided to cut my hair short. This was around the same time Miley Cyrus had her crop done. (I was aiming for a more Frankie from Saturdays look, even though no one will believe me).
I’m happy with the cut, it suits my face shape and my style, but some would argue that I just love people shouting ‘MILEY’ at me in the street, train stations, airports. It does happen, and it is entertaining BUT I get restless easily, and am always on the look out for a change.
The easiest way to accomplish this, is hair toner. Bleach offer a wide range of semi permanent toners, and at £5 a bottle, it’s a rainbow waiting to happen. I first dabbled in bleach last Summer where I asked my hairdresser for a pinky hue. I loved the results but sadly the colour only lasted 2 or 3 washes (if that).
After some research on Instagram, I discovered ‘Washed up Mermaid’ an aqua hue that is mermaid tail meets chlorine filled swimming bath green. My friends reviews have been mixed but I love the shade. It’s fresh and vibrant, and has given me a boost over the last month or so. The only problem is that I’m ready to be blonde again. The colour has definitely lasted longer than 8 washes, so be warned.
My next hue is either violet or silver, what do you reckon?
